Integrations is in public preview and may change. Creating an integration creates the integration resource only. It does not create an extraction pipeline. Do not use the Integrations path and the Extraction pipelines path for the same external ID at the same time.
Before you start
- Confirm you can open Data fusion > Integrate > Integrations. If not, contact Cognite Support or your Cognite representative.
- Assign Integrations and destination capabilities for the extractor.
- Review the setup guide for your source: DB, File, SharePoint Online, or OPC UA.
integrations:read, integrations:write, integrations:use, integrationconfigs:read, and integrationconfigs:write. You do not need extractionpipelines:*, extractionruns:*, or extractionconfigs:* for this path.
Create the integration

Open Integrations
Navigate to Data fusion > Integrate > Integrations.

Start setup
Select Set up. CDF opens Extractors so you can choose the extractor.

Choose and create
Select a supported on-premises extractor. For SharePoint Online, use the File extractor. Enter the name, external ID, and other required fields, then save.
CDF creates the integration and shows download and connection instructions. You can also open Extractors under Integrate at any time.
Complete the connection
Follow the on-page instructions. When the connection succeeds, the extractor has finished startup and check-in with CDF. Tasks appear only after that so you can monitor them.1
Download and install the extractor
Download the package for your environment. Install the extractor on a host that can reach the source system and CDF.

Authenticate and start the extractor
Add CDF authentication to the local extractor configuration, then start the extractor so it can check in with CDF. Keep secrets out of shared samples.

Add remote configuration
Open the integration, select the Configuration tab, paste your local configuration file content, validate, and publish. Configuration is keyed by the integration external ID.

Confirm the connection
When the connection succeeds, open Overview tab and confirm that tasks are listed.
