Use the migration plugin to migrate from an asset-centric to a data modeling-based Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) project.
The migration plugin is an experimental feature. Updates to the Cognite Toolkit are likely to introduce changes to the described commands and processes.
Enable the Migration plugin in your cdf.toml file:
cdf.toml

Known limitations

Known limitations in data modeling that do not yet have feature parity with asset-centric CDF projects.

Migration overview

Learn how to use the migration plugin to migrate from asset-centric to data modeling-based CDF projects.

Test with production data

Replicate production data to a development CDF project so you can test migration before running it in production.
