After you set up the CLI locally, data engineers write Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) configuration as YAML with the Cognite Toolkit, and Cognite Toolkit administrators set up the repository, authentication, and CI/CD.

Initialize a project

Create cdf.toml, credentials, modules, and pipeline files with cdf init.

Authenticate

Sign in as yourself, or configure a service account for CI/CD.

Work with modules

List, add, pull, and upgrade the modules in your project.

Build configurations

Validate modules and substitute variables into the build/ directory.

Deploy configurations

Preview a change, apply it, and delete the deployed resources.
