The geospatial API lets you store, query, and analyze location-based data in CDF. You define feature types with geospatial properties, then create features with coordinate data.

What you can do

  • Define feature types — Create schemas with geospatial properties (points, lines, polygons).
  • Store features — Add features with coordinate data in supported coordinate reference systems (CRS).
  • Spatial search — Query features by bounding box, polygon, or other spatial predicates.
  • Aggregations — Compute spatial aggregations and analyses.
  • Raster data — Store and query raster data for imagery or gridded data.

Key concepts

The API supports multiple coordinate reference systems (CRS), so you can work with data in the CRS most appropriate for your use case. Use spatial search to find features within a region or near a point.
Geospatial data is useful for asset location mapping, pipeline routing, site planning, and environmental monitoring.
