About data connections

Connectors connect to source systems and push data in its original format to and from Cognite Data Fusion (CDF).

Connectors can stream or extract data in batches to the CDF staging area or directly to a CDF service with little or no data transformation.

Note

The Cognite connectors only need read access to the source systems and never change the original data.

Connector	Description
Simulator integrations	Set up simulator integrations to establish connections between first-principle simulation tools and CDF.
PostgreSQL gateway	Use the PostgreSQL gateway to ingest data into CDF from ETL tools. This service provides a PostgreSQL interface to CDF and the CDF resource types appear as tables in the PostgreSQL database.
SAP write-back	Use the SAP writeback service to create or update records in your SAP S/4HANA system.
