About Canvas labels

Organize and categorize canvases by adding labels. Labels are keywords that describe the content on a canvas. Use the labels as a filter on the canvas overview.

Before you start

The first time you set up labels, make sure to set up these access capabilities:

1. Navigate to Admin > Access management > Groups and set datamodels:read and datamodels:write to make the Set up labels button available on the canvas overview.

2. Navigate to Industrial tools > Canvas and select Set up labels.

3. Navigate to Admin > Access management > Groups and scope datamodelinstances:read and datamodelinstances:write to SolutionTagsInstanceSpace.

Create, edit, and delete labels

1. Navigate to Industrial tools > Canvas and select Manage labels.

2. Select Create label to create labels and edit or delete existing labels.

Assign labels to a canvas

1. Set datamodelinstance:read with scope SolutionTagsInstanceSpace.

2. Open a canvas and select the arrow on the canvas' name.

3. Select Edit name and labels to select the labels you want to assign to the canvas.
