Manage categories in search

Set preferences for how data is displayed when you search on the Industrial tools workspace. You can adjust settings for columns and properties per category.

Before you start

Make sure you have the necessary access capabilities to configure search settings.

Configure columns and properties

  1. Navigate to the Admin workspace > Project settings > Categories.

  2. Click Configure, then select the category you want to edit.

  3. For Columns: Select the data types you want to display as default columns when you search. Drag to preset the order. A label appears next to the column if a data type has been removed or added since your last configuration.

    On the search pages, users can override these settings with Select columns or revert to these settings with Revert to default.

  4. For Properties: Set the order of how data is displayed on the Properties card on the search details page.
