Planning
Proper planning is crucial to manage the lifecycle of the applications, data integrations, and other modules implemented with Cognite Data Fusion (CDF). The goal is to have a reliable, high-quality implementation in a production environment while supporting a fast iterative setup for a development environment. In addition, there should be clear rules on how to move between these environments (and potentially quality assurance/staging environments in between) to maintain the goals of the production environment.
The articles in this section help you capture your goals, track your setup checklist, and find Cognite resources to help fast-track your CDF implementation. It will also help you decide the level of involvement you expect from Cognite or our partners to implement CDF, or if you want to implement CDF on your own.
📄️ Preparing for implementation
We typically separate projects into sprints with a defined duration (usually two or three weeks). Each sprint has a set of deliverables that the project team commits to finishing during the sprint.
📄️ Roles in a CDF implementation
Implementing CDF projects often requires the expertise and skills of many individuals. The list below shows the roles and responsibilities that we've found to be critical to making CDF a success.
📄️ Identify business objectives
Before you begin implementing Cognite Data Fusion (CDF), make sure that you have a good understanding of your organization's current IT architecture and how CDF will fit in.
